Welcome to Autumn Respira Yogis! As the air becomes crisp, the leaves start to turn and the days grow shorter - we will start to become more introspective, folding into ourselves. Come and join us this Autumn in our yoga practice as we reflect on what has passed, letting go with each exhale and with each inhale welcoming in the new.
Ayurveda teaches us that Vata, our element of air, increases during Autumn, making us feel unsettled and unbalanced. We can harmonise and balance that out with the element of Kapha, earth, which grounds and calms our being. So this is a time to flow with the rhythms of nature, turning inwards, releasing, letting go, setting new intentions and finding balance in our lives.
There is a shift of emphasis from outer achievement to inner reflection and contemplation. In class this Autumn we’ll focus on grounding, working at a slow and steady pace with an emphasis on foundation to create a sense of stability – deepening our connection to the earth, giving us a feeling of strength and restoration. Most classes are reaching full capacity so don't delay and book now for Autumn Term which is just kicking off!

Thank you to the fabulous yogis who showed up and gave it their all to raise an amazing £510 for this very worthwhile cause. Let's do it again next year for another great cause!
Autumn Equinox Restorative Yoga - Saturday 23rd September
Reconnect with yourself and let your body and mind rest completely while moving through a sequence of energy-restoring restorative & Yin style poses in this two hour workshop. Suitable for all levels and highly recommended for anyone seeking stress-relief or a quiet space to unwind.
We will engage in a restorative and therapeutic Yin-style practice focused on postures that release the hips, pelvis and low back to bring these primary energetic points of the body back into alignment. We will unfold, surrender and release, working deep beneath the superficial muscles of the body into the fascia, joints and tendons, creating new space where we can begin to heal. Breath work and guided meditation will be interwoven throughout the evening.
This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We'll use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. Book here.
