Back Pain Getting You Down?

If you've ever been affected by back pain then you'll know that it can really get you down. I personally suffered with back ache for many years after a car crash left me with a scoliosis injury to my spine.

No matter how many visits to the chiropractor, physiotherapist or massage therapist, I was always in some sort of discomfort unless I had been practicing Yoga a couple of times that week.

After a while, I decided to focus on my Yoga practice and put the other therapies to the side for a while and was amazed at the results. The nagging discomfort in my spine, neck and shoulders resided and was kept at bay.

This should come as no surprise as yoga has been used for thousands of years to prevent aches and pains and the medical community have been touting the benefits of yoga for decades.

I am now pain free but only while I am regularly practicing yoga, which is one of the reasons I decided to retrain as a Yoga Instructor. If yoga would be in my life forever, why not teach Yoga and bring it's magical, healing benefits of yoga to others who need it as much as I did?!

So many of you have come to me with back pain so I thought I'd share with you these 7 Yoga Poses to Soothe Back Pain.

We practice these poses in every class so sign up now and begin a healing journey towards a pain free, happier, healthier you!

What to expect..

Classes are suitable for both beginners and improvers. You will be carefully instructed into the poses and adjusted and supported in each posture. More challenging options are offered to those who have been practicing for some time so that everyone develops at their own pace.

Classes run for between 1 hour to 1 hour 15mins with a new theme, focus and lesson plan for each class to keep it interesting and fun. As I guide you mindfully through the poses with the breath, my intention is for you to reconnect with yourself and to experience a magical energy and release. This grounding, self exploration should leave you feeling uplifted and empowered both on the mat and in your life more generally.

We practice to calming music, stretching, breathing, opening up the body, then moving through some more challenging, dynamic, strengthening postures before slowing it down again, coming back to a more calming meditative state.

We relax to the scent of lemongrass at the end of class to ensure that everyone totally switches off and melts in Savasana (corpse pose) for the full 5 minutes. Its a gorgeous class that will leave you feeling completely renewed and zen. If you need more convincing, then take a look at the reviews!

If you haven't yet booked your spot then treat yourself today! This workshop will leave you feeling deeply nourished & energised, with more openness in your body and a calmer mind. By booking this class you can look forward to hitting pause on the fast pace of life and taking some precious time out to unwind and focus on self-care for your body and mind.

Suitable for all levels and highly recommended for anyone seeking stress-relief or a quiet space to unwind, this therapeutic, Yin-style practice will focus on postures that release the hips, pelvis and low back to bring these primary energetic points of the body back into alignment.

Practicing yoga in this way calms the nervous system and helps release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We will unfold, surrender and release, working deep beneath the superficial muscles of the body into the fascia, joints and tendons, creating new space where we can begin to heal. Breath work and guided meditation will be interwoven throughout the workshop.
