42 Acres Somerset consciously creates space for connection: to nature; to each other and to our true self.  This stunning retreat space, originally built as a dairy farm in the 1800s, is set in 42 acres of beautiful ancient woodland and wild meadows and acts as the perfect setting for a transformational yoga retreat.

42 Acres works with the land and its natural resources, using reclaimed materials to outfit the interiors of the property and all power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.  Allow the fresh air, yoga, nutritious food and verdant nature to work their magic, aiding complete relaxation, detox and creative and spiritual growth

Your Yoga Teachers:

Isabelle Sagra - Respira Yoga London Founder

A yoga experience with Isabelle is deeply affecting, soothing, therapeutic and a blissful journey for all of the senses, involving movement, breath, mindfulness and aromatherapy to bring complete surrender.  She strongly believes that yoga is for everyone and that the benefits of this ancient practice can be experienced by every body, of any age or fitness level. 

Isabelle is passionate about sharing yoga, making it accessible, enjoyable and an integral part of people's lives as she understands first-hand the power of yoga and how it can bring release, happiness and inner harmony. 

She first came to yoga over 20 years ago finding that yoga brought a sense of clarity and calm to her overworked body and mind and that time spent on the mat gave her the chance to re-connect with her inner-self. 

Her early training in classical ballet and later immersion in Latin dance has given her an intuitive understanding of the body and movement allowing her to recognize the unique patterns in different bodies. It is this passion for music and dance that allows Isabelle to create mindful flowing sequences set to evocative music, that are graceful and focused, moving meditations, synchronising breath with movement.

Retreat Itinerary:

The retreat begins at 5 pm on Friday 15th March 2019 with time to settle in before the first yoga class at 6pm.  Dinner will be served at 7.30pm. The retreat ends at 2pm on Sunday after breakfast, a yoga class and then lunch.  We will send you the finalised itinerary once you have booked.

Friday

5pm onwards: Arrivals.  Chill out with a cup of herbal tea, snuggle down in your inviting room and meet the group

6pm-7.30pm: Evening Yoga Stress-Melt. Gentle, healing yoga to ease you into the weekend

7.30pm: Welcome Feast

9.00pm: A soothing guided meditation, easing you into a deep relaxation to set you up for an incredible night’s sleep

10pm: Bedtime!

Saturday

8am: Pre-yoga tea/coffee/protein snacks/fruit

8.30am-10am: Morning Hatha yoga and pranayama (controlled breathing) and relaxation.

10am: Nourishing Breakfast

11am – 5.30pm: Free time for walking, exploring, reading or a massage

2.30pm: Delicious Lunch

5.30pm: Evening Yin Yoga Immersion - melting into deep, long held stretches bringing deep rest to the mind & nervous system & lasting structural change to the body.

7.30pm: Sumptuous Dinner

9.00pm: A calming & healing guided meditation

10pm: Bedtime!

Sunday

8.30am: Hearty Breakfast

10am-12pm: Vinyasa Yoga, invigorating and rinsing the whole body, soothing the mind and peeling away any remaining layers of stress.  Pranayama and Relaxation

12pm: Yummy Lunch

2pm: Retreat Ends. Returned home feeling like new!

42 Acres Culinary Philosophy

The food at 42 ACRES is second to none.  Expect the highest quality, locally sourced organic and biodynamic foods and ingredients that sustain the health and vitality of our bodies and community.  The 42 Acres chefs believe in the restorative and regenerative benefits of meals prepared with care and shared with compassion.  They even forage many wild ingredients from the land.

With few exceptions,  food is prepared in the 42 acres kitchen using organic, hand-made ingredients and ferments. Food is sourced from a number of small heritage producers who maintain the highest standards of care and ethics in their operations.

The 42 Acres kitchen chefs are committed to creating meals that are diverse, colourful, flavourful, healthy and satisfying. Nourishment of both body and soul are integral to your stay with them.   As such, know that the food you eat will be prepared with love, imagination, care and attention.

Processed foods are avoided (including refined sugar) and only cold-pressed oils and unrefined Atlantic sea salt  are used in food preparation. Breads are made from organic sourdoughs (gluten-free options are available as well).

Food is vegan/vegetarian but if you have any further dietary requirements, please let us know at time of booking.
