BOUTIQUE SPRING YOGA RETREAT, WEST SUSSEX, 29 - 31 MAY 2020

Respira Yoga London is thrilled to announce a repeat of last years hugely popular Boutique Yoga Retreat taking place in stunning West Sussex Countryside.

 

Step away from the frenetic pace of life and join us as we welcome Spring, spending a super-nourishing weekend in 19th century converted barn accommodation surrounded by lush nature, whilst delving deep into the magic of yoga.  This is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with yourself, slowing down and finding light & inspiration for the Spring season & coming Summer.  Perfect for complete beginners and experienced practitioners who would like to deepen their practice alike.

Enjoy healthy, nourishing meals, twice daily yoga, free time to relax and unwind with a book, a swim in the pool, chill out in the sauna or treat yourself to a massage or other treatment.  Surrender into bliss as you allow the layers of stress to peel away in this gorgeous sanctuary.  Enjoy beautiful walks, taking in the uninterrupted views of glorious landscape and perhaps explore  the nearby quaint, historic town of Arundel, named 'the most mindful destination in Europe', and take in its unique plethora of craft and antique shops and cafes.

Accommodation

Brooklands Barn is a beautiful 19th century converted barn in a rural setting, just under 1 mile from the historic center of Arundel, West Sussex, a short walk from the River Arun, with breathtaking views of the Sussex downs.  All the rooms at Brooklands Barn are spacious and have been newly refurbished.  In each wing of the barn there is a spacious living room where you can unwind and relax in cosy armchairs and plush sofas.

 

What To Expect

The retreat begins at 5.00pm on Friday with time to settle in before the first yoga class at 6pm.  Dinner will be served at 7.30pm. The retreat ends at 2pm on Sunday when you should leave for home feeling reborn!

 

Retreat Itinerary

Friday 

5pm onwards: Arrivals.  Chill out with a cup of herbal tea, snuggle down in your inviting room and meet the grou

6pm: Evening Yoga Stress-Melt.  Gentle, healing yoga to ease you into the weekend

7.30pm: Welcome Feast

9.00pm: Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, a soothing guided meditation, easing you into a deep relaxation to set you up for an incredible night’s sleep

10pm: Bedtime!

 

Saturday

8am: Pre-yoga tea/coffee/protein snacks/fruit

8.30am-10am: Morning Hatha yoga and pranayama (controlled breathing) and relaxation.

10am: Nourishing Breakfast

11am – 6 pm: Free time for walking, exploring, swimming, reading, sauna or a massage

12pm - 2pm: Optional guided walk exploring the beautiful historic town of Arundel

2.30pm: Delicious Lunch

6pm – 7.30pm: Evening Yin Yoga Immersion - melting into deep, long held stretches bringing deep rest to the mind & nervous system & lasting structural change to the body.

7.30pm: Sumptuous Dinner

9.00pm: A calming & healing Guided Meditation

10pm: Bedtime!

 

Sunday

8am: Pre-yoga tea/coffee/granola/fruit

8.30am: Vinyasa Yoga, invigorating and rinsing the whole body, soothing the mind and peeling away any remaining layers of stress. Pranayama and Relaxation

10am - Nourishing Breakfast

11am - 1pm: Free time for walking, exploring, reading or a massage

1pm: Delicious Lunch

2pm: Retreat Ends. Return home feeling like new!

Your Yoga Teachers:

Isabelle Sagra - Respira Yoga London Founder

A yoga experience with Isabelle is deeply affecting, soothing, therapeutic and a blissful journey for all of the senses, involving movement, breath, mindfulness and aromatherapy to bring complete surrender.  She strongly believes that yoga is for everyone and that the benefits of this ancient practice can be experienced by every body, of any age or fitness level. 

Isabelle is passionate about sharing yoga, making it accessible, enjoyable and an integral part of people's lives as she understands first-hand the power of yoga and how it can bring release, happiness and inner harmony. 

She first came to yoga over 20 years ago finding that yoga brought a sense of clarity and calm to her overworked body and mind and that time spent on the mat gave her the chance to re-connect with her inner-self. 

Her early training in classical ballet and later immersion in Latin dance has given her an intuitive understanding of the body and movement allowing her to recognize the unique patterns in different bodies. It is this passion for music and dance that allows Isabelle to create mindful flowing sequences set to evocative music, that are graceful and focused, moving meditations, synchronising breath with movement.

 

 

Emma Burns - Founder of MeLoveYoga 

Emma teaches alignment-based Hatha yoga with Vinyasa flow, incorporating mindfulness into every class.

 

Yoga, meditation and mindfulness have been the grounding foundations of Emma's life for over 20 years. Emma lives her yoga and is passionate about sharing it with her students.

Healthy, Delicious Food

Fresh, vibrant cuisine prepared by our incredible on-site chef from Cashew Catering, opting for organic, locally sourced produce where possible. Expect to eat the rainbow!  Food is vegetarian or vegan but if you have any further dietary requirements, please let us know at time of booking.

Travelling by rail:

Arundel station has direct links from London Victoria and London Bridge (1.5 hours). Arundel station is a 5 minute taxi ride from Brooklands. Castle Cars is located at Arundel Station (01903 884444).
