Do you need some Yoga Magic?

'Yoga is not just repetition of few postures - it is more about the exploration and discovery of the subtle energies of life'. - Amit Ray.

The theme of this week's yoga classes is 'yoga magic'. We will flow through pretty much all of the poses that create what I call 'yoga magic'!

Poses like fish (matsyendrasana), bridge (sarvangasana), rabbit (sasangasana) all get the brain producing feel good chemicals that leave you feeling a little buzzy and a lot zen when you step off the mat. With all that oxytocin, gaba, serotonin and dopamine flowing through you, you will literally float home.

If you want to experience some of this yoga magic be sure to book your spot at my Yin Yoga Immersion workshop (next Saturday in Harrow).

Suitable for men and women of almost all levels, Yin Yoga is perfect for people who participate in more athletic activities as it helps to release overworked joints and for those who simply want to deeply relax due to its meditative qualities. Whatever it is that brings you to Yin yoga, it will bring balance to your body and mind and leave you feeling renewed and free of any aches and pains. Yin Yoga uses long-held, passive style poses to nourish the connective tissues of the body, helping to increase flexibility, improve organ health and calm the mind. All poses are held in a lying or seated position for 2-10 minutes and conscious breathing and mindfulness meditation will be interspersed throughout the practice.

We will work on the deeper energetic channels in the body, providing support for the immune system and bringing about vibrant health and higher energy levels. We will open up through the connective tissues (the joints, the ligaments the tendons and the fascia) rather than just the superficial muscle, helping to create lasting structural change in the body.

Practicing yoga in this way calms the nervous system and helps release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Set to candlelight and soothing music, this workshop will be a wonderful addition to your weekend and will leave you feeling feeling deeply nourished & energised, with more openness in your body and a calmer mind. So treat yourself today! By booking this class you can look forward to hitting pause on the fast pace of life and taking some precious time out to unwind and focus on self-care for your body and mind.
